Fruity Adventures lll

We had a great week with our new fruits.  They were all sweet and tasty!
A few friends have had some questions about the fruits we've tried. We google each new fruit we find and learn where they are grown, how to eat them, what they are used for, and what their taste might resemble.

Jeff and G and G Steiner were over tonight so they joined us in trying our feijoa and papaya.  The feijoa was so sweet and good.  The blossoms are edible and have a strong hint of cinnamon.  They are grown in Brazil.  We were amazed at all the nutrional value the papaya has.  Everyone liked the taste but Matt.  It was a little under ripe but it was pretty tasty.  The black seeds have a sharp, spicy taste and are sometimes ground and used as a substitue for ground pepper.  They are mostly grown in Hawaii.

Our Blog Book

What is a blogging book you ask?  Well on my friend Alli's blog....I saw her post about receiving her blog book in the mail and I thought - WHAT a great idea!  I sometimes post about fun things or goings on that I do not include in our scrapbooks but they are still great memories.  I have also been a little less stessed about keeping up on my scrapooking because I know it's on our blog.  Here are a few of our books.....

This is the website I used.  The kids love looking thru these - it's been a fun project.  So, for the few of us who still blog :) happy blogging!

Mini Burgers

For a Relief Society party last month, my counselors and I made these cute mini burgers to adorn our cupcakes for dessert.  We had hamburgers with all the fixins and I thought it might be fun to try these little burgers.
Our burger bar....

and the stars of the show...mini burgers!  Want these at your next bbq?  Look here :)

Rockin' the 4th

We started our fourth of July celebrations this weekend at the Centerville city parade.  My friend's band invited Kenna to play with them after the parade.  Seriously - how cool is that?  She was beyond excited for this awesome opportunity.

As always, the band was amazing.  They love what they do and are the greatest guys!  It was so fun to see people in the crowd dancing and singing along.  Thank you so much Mikey!...Kenna had a blast!
