Sassy

About three years ago, my Mom's dog Sassy was diagnosed with kidney disease.  Oddly enough, shortly after my Mom was diagnosed with liver and kidney disease.  My Mom got Sassy as a tiny puppy, runt of the litter.  She named her Sassy because of her spicy spirit :)
I have watched and admired my Mom as she has cared for Sassy this year- providing her with expensive monthly shots and vet care.  The last little while, she has nurtured her and loved her even as Sassy became sicker and pretty grouchy.  My Mom has some pretty bad days lately but everyday she got up and cared for her sick and dying little pup.  We had to put Sassy down a few weeks ago.  It was so hard to see my Mom loose her little pal.  Thank you Mom for being an example of selfless service and unconditinal love to our family.
