One Smart Cookie

Our little Kenna gave a fantastic talk a few weeks ago on keeping the Sabbath Day holy. She always does such a good job but one particular part of her talk was especially interesting..............She shared a part of a talk by Eztra Taft Benson where he shared 8 different things we should try to refrain from doing on Sunday...and then added some helpful hints of her own.......

"...3. ”Doing gardening and odd jobs around the house.” Exodus 31:17 says: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.” It can be difficult sometimes, but remember that you have six more days in the week to clean and garden, you should use them. In the time it takes you to vacuum the living room, or weed the tomatoes, you could have family home evening, study the scriptures, or maybe bake some cookies for someone who’s kitchen is under construction or something."

Well, needess to say...her comment was well received with a roll of snickers thru the congregation. What a character!! Later that night, we had a few unexpected visitors bearing....you guessed it - PLATES of cookies!
Thank you to our most wonderful neighbors in the whole wide world! Ohhhh the fresh baked goodness!!!
