They had an amazing time full of new adventures and experiences. One of the biggest highlights was their hike to Angel's Landing. Below is a picture of what they call Walter's Wiggles...only a part of the hike.
The top is called Angel's Landing and is about a 1400 foot climb and a 5 hour hike.
That being a huge accomplishment in itself...but for an extremely afraid of heights scout and his Dad...it is much much more.
There were so many great stories told and lessons learned. We are so proud of Matt for hanging in there and making it to the top. Shawn bought him a poster of the mountain to hang in his room to remind him and us all that we can do hard things. I asked Matt later on how he did.....he smiled and said "one step at a time."
